Hi fellow members of The Vasa Order,
  
   Now and in the future I would like for you to consider sharing your lodges activities with me. Its a great time for our Order and we will share things in new as well as traditional ways. The world wide web is a wonderful place to share information and ideas, we just need to find a way to come together here, on the web. I have spoken to many of you in person, through phone calls, as well as email. I have also communicated with some on the web. I look forward to talking to many more of you in the future. My name is Mike and I have been appointed Grand Lodge Audio Visual Director of The Vasa Order of America. I am very proud to have the opportunity to serve you and our order. I have been a member of Vasa for 5 years, I have a wonderful family that are all members of Vasa. Lisa my wife is a member of Lodge 761 along with my son Mike Jr. Vice Chairmen of Nordikfolk, my two daughters Emily and Jennifer are also members of our lodge.  I have two younger daughters Melissa and Kristine that are members of Lodge 208 Nordikids. All my children have and continue to perform with the group.
  If you have video, photos or other information you would like to see put online for others to view please contact me. I have accounts with many popular online sites that are great ways to share information, YouTube, Vimeo, Issue and many others. If you have accounts online like this please let me know and if you don't please consider creating one for your lodge. Its a great way to come together and share things that were once not possible. I do understand that along with the great things that the web can do for us, some are concerned about being online in this way or that we should be more of a private organization. I also believe that some things should remain that way, but we need to show others what we do, like Lucia Day, Midsummer and many other Scandinavian/Swedish traditions. I love to see other lodges and members celebrating our great traditions, culture and heritage and I know you do to. I can't think of a better way other than in person that we could share what we do so greatly, than the web. It is wonderful when we can be together in person and celebrate our culture, but it sometimes is not possible for that to be. Do to many obstacles like budgets, time and space we all can't come together. Just imagine if all the members of Vasa were to try and book a room at the next convention.
  I am online in many ways for you and your lodges, I look forward to sharing your information, videos, photos and celebrations with all of Vasa, in new as well as traditional ways, in person when possible and online when not. I also look forward to creating a new Audio Visual Vasa Library with some of our existing material as well as new martial. Much of this new material must come from you and your lodges. So please consider sharing your creations with me, video and audio of performances, gatherings or just cool stuff you may have.
  Our website VasaOrder.com is a great place and I look forward to its updates. I also know many of your lodges are online in other places. Some I have found and some I haven't, if you or your lodge is online other than at our website please let me now, I would love to visit your sites and in some cases become a member or friend like on facebook, one of the social giants, it's a  great tools to use for communication and networking.
